In 2017, DCL won the Debt Deal of the Year Award at the Institute of Finance Professional NZ (INFINZ) annual awards for the way the deal was brokered.
The Christchurch Adventure Park is located on the Port Hills, just 5km from the city centre and within easy distance from Christchurch International Airport. It is owned by Port Hills Leisure Ltd, which comprises of a number of investors. Christchurch City Council, through DCL, invested equity into Phase 1 of the project which oversaw the development of world class mountain bike trails, zip-lines, as well as retail and cafe facilities. Christchurch Adventure Park is one of the city’s key tourist destinations. Attractions at the Christchurch Adventure Park include a chairlift to transport users 1.8km uphill for magnificent views of the Southern Alps, the Canterbury Plains, Lyttelton Harbor and Banks Peninsula.
There is a mix of flow and technical mountain bike trails to suit all levels of biking experience, 4 separate zip-lines which include New Zealand’s longest and highest zip lines, coaching and bike rental services, retail facilities and a bar/restaurant with a large viewing deck situated in a forest village. The Christchurch Adventure Park received over 40,000 visitors in the first 2 months of opening. It has also recently extended its network with four new intermediate level trails that have been expertly built through the trees to offer riders more choice and variety.
