Director, Commercial Advisory and Delivery – Critical Leadership Role

DCL is looking for a new Director, Commercial Advisory and Delivery. You will:

  • Lead the provision of strategic and commercial advice to clients
  • Lead the delivery of DCL led capital projects
  • Contribute as an executive to the success of the organisation
  • Combine strategic capability with hands-on development leadership

Development Christchurch Limited (DCL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Christchurch City Holdings Limited (CCHL) and has been established to enhance the well-being of Christchurch through the improved economic, social, community and environment outcomes that successful development, investment and regeneration projects bring. To achieve these exciting and landscape-changing objectives, DCL needs a highly skilled Director, Commercial Advisory & Delivery to lead this key business function.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director, Commercial Advisory & Delivery is a member of the Leadership Team and is charged with leading a team of professionals to deliver commercial advice to our client, Christchurch City Council (CCC) and to oversee the delivery of facilities in Christchurch, create great outcomes on land otherwise deemed as surplus by the CCC and provide advice on Suburban Master Planning. This is a role that requires you to be strategic in thinking and planning together with action orientated – Development Christchurch Limited needs a Director, Commercial Advisory & Delivery to get things done! Is this you?

To be successful in this role, you will have a track record in providing commercial advice as well as being an experienced and highly skilled development/infrastructure delivery manager with a significant level of commercial experience. You will combine talent in working strategically to pull programmes, stakeholders and teams together to get the job done with the ability to understand, manage and advise key stakeholders. A naturally action-oriented person, you will inspire performance in others and be able to effectively work across a multitude of projects, programmes and issues with confidence.
