DCL is a signatory to the Canterbury Safety Charter. The Charter was developed in the early days of the Canterbury rebuild as a way of making sure everyone who works in construction in Canterbury goes home safely each night. The Charter is an agreement on health and safety between more than 370 organisations – including construction firms, government organisations, and NGOs. Signing the Charter signifies a commitment to work towards the Charter’s vision and actions.
DCL is also a founding signatory to the Accessibility Charter, established by Barrier Free NZ Trust. The Accessibility Charter seeks a commitment from public sector agencies in Canterbury to play a role in the creation of an accessible region through their development activities.
